직장인의 가장 큰 추석 고민, ‘과도한 지출’

추석이 얼마 남지 않은 상태에서 직장인의 가장 큰 걱정거리는 ‘과도한 지출’인 것으로 27일 밝혀졌다.

다음 달 추석 연휴를 앞두고 온라인 여행사 익스피디아는 20∼40대 기혼 직장인 1천여명을 대상으로 추석 연휴관련 설문 조사를 실시했다.

그 결과 조사대상자의 33.2%가 부모님 용돈, 차례상 준비 등으로 지출이 많아진다는 점을 꼽았다.

또한 추석 상여금의 용도를 묻는 질문에 비상금으로 숨겨두겠다는 답변이 25.9%로 가 장 많았고 저축(25.5%), 밀린 카드값 청산(18%), 부모님 용돈(16%)이 뒤를 이었다.

Workers concerned over big spending on Chuseok

With only a few weeks left until Chuseok, South Korean office workers’ biggest concern was “excessive expenditure” during the Korean thanksgiving holiday, a survey showed on Tuesday.

An online travel agency Expedia conducted a survey related to Chuseok on some 1,000 married workers in their 20s to 40s.

The poll revealed that 33.2 percent of respondents were under pressure to give pocket money to their parents and prepare for the ancestral rites table.

For the special Chuseok bonus, 25.9 percent said they would keep it as pocket money, while 25.5 percent said they would save the money and 16 percent would give it to their parents.

This year’s Chuseok will fall on Sept. 19 (or Aug. 15 on the lunar calendar).
