Samsung BioLogics becomes first CMO to obtain ISO 27001

ISO 27001 is the most prestigious international standards certification in information security. It acknowledges the local biopharma firm to be the “World’s Best CDMO Company,” and will help boost trust between global partners, the company said.
To obtain the certification, Samsung BioLogics had to pass a strict examination of 114 criteria across 14 categories including organization of information security, asset management and physical and environmental security.
“Obtaining the ISO 27001 certification will secure the trust of global clients. Further, I believe it will enhance our competitiveness overseas,” said Kim Yong-shin, head of the firm’s global customer support division.
