Police on Tuesday said they are looking for a 34-year-old man who fled the scene shortly after his wife experienced a mysterious fall from their apartment two weeks ago.
According to the Jeonbuk Provincial Police Agency, the man’s wife, 26, fell from the 12-story residential building in Yeonji-dong, North Jeolla Province on June 20.
Dispatched officers said they found the woman in the bushes with an electric wire around her neck, multiple fractures and scratches all over her body, as the branches caught her fall.

Fortunately, the woman survived, but lacked consciousness when the emergency medical team rushed her to the hospital, according to reports.
The man was seen driving away in his car toward Gimje. Police were able to contact him on the phone after numerous attempts. “I tried to kill myself in a car crash, but it didn’t work out,” he reportedly said before switching off his phone.
Police said they found the man’s abandoned car along the road near Geumsansa Temple, where his last phone signal was detected.
No records indicate that he has used his phone or credit card from that point on.
After regaining consciousness two days following the incident, the wife reportedly told police that she has “no recollection of what happened after too many drinks.”
It is said the two got married in April and the man has been working at a duck farm.
