Camarata Music Company Chorale and Orchestra will be performing its annual holiday concert of Handel’s “Messiah.”

The choral work is often associated with the Christmas period around the world and Camarata’s performances attract over 1,000 concert goers each year.

Handel’s masterpiece will be sung by the Camarata Chorale, an amateur singing group that has featured members from over 70 different countries since it began in 2009, and conducted by Ryan Goessl.

The performance will also have four soloists: soprano Oh Shin-young Oh, mezzo-soprano Nam Jung-hee, tenor Hong Myoung-po, and bass Song Seung-wook.

The event will also feature a pre-concert Christmas performance from the Camarata Children’s Choir, a group of school-age singers that began performances last year.

The pre-concert begins at 6:45 p.m., with the main concert starting at 7 p.m., at Chungdong First Methodist Church, located behind Deoksugung Palace in central Seoul.

Tickets are 30,000 won at the door or 25,000 won in advance, available from concerts.camaratamusic.com.
