Hyundai recalls Sonata in US, Korea over sunroof issue

[THE INVESTOR] Hyundai Motor will recall midsized Sonata sedans fitted with panorama sunroofs in South Korea and the US.

According to reports, Hyundai has begun the recall of 2015 and 2016 Sonata fitted with the panorama sunroof in the US, and about 63,000 units will be affected by the recall.

The panorama sunroof in some vehicles have come loose, resulting in the recall. However, there have been no reports of accidents or injuries due to the issue, the company said.

Hyundai Motor has also reported the issue to the Korean authorities, and is expected to recall about 20,000 units starting next week.
