South Korean actor Joo Won will host a charity fan meeting on Saturday to raise money for a teenage patient with cerebral palsy, as well as for multicultural families, his agency SIM Entertainment announced Friday.

The financial donations made at the event will help 17-year-old cerebral palsy patient Kim Young-soo receive some needed dental treatment, according to the star's agency. The funds raised will also go to support multicultural families in Korea in need of medical assistance.

“We decided to hold the fan event free of charge in response to our domestic fans‘ continued love and support, but we will be open for donations for those in need of assistance,” said SIM Entertainment through a press release.

The agency also added that the 27-year-old actor would continue to hold an annual event with fans for charitable causes.

The upcoming two-hour fan meeting will be held on Saturday at Kyunghee University’s Seoul campus from 7 p.m.

Meanwhile, Joo Won will star in the KBS rom-com “Cantabile Tomorrow,” which will begin airing on Oct. 13.
