Samsung Electronics said Thursday that it has released its latest tablet Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition in Korea.
The new Galaxy Note goes on sale from Friday through the nation’s three major mobile carriers SK Telecom, KT and LG Uplus, the world’s largest mobile device maker said.
The tablet, boasting a 10.1-inch, 2,560 x 1,600 resolution liquid crystal display, comes with a 2.3 GHz quad-core processor for the LTE model, and a 1.9 GHz octa-core for the Wi-Fi model.
Both models run on the Android Jelly Bean 4.3 operating system and are equipped with 3GB of RAM and an 8,220 mAh battery.
The latest tablet, which sports the faux-leather back cover also used for the Galaxy Note 3, comes in classic white and black in global markets, but only the classic white Note is available in Korea.
Removing the S pen ― a digital stylus also featured with the Galaxy Note 3 ― from the slot in the device activates the Air Command menu, a content controller that lets users easily access various functions such as Action Memo, Scrapbook and S Finder.
Other features include “Multi Window,” which enables users to multitask with several applications, and “Easy Chart,” which turns handwritten data into charts and graphs.
The LTE model retails at 946,000 won and the Wi-Fi model at 799,000 won.
