tvN "SNL코리아"

케이블 채널 tvN “SNL 코리아”가 간호사가 부적절한 유머 코드로 다뤄진 부분에 대해서 즉각 사과했다.

지난 25일 방송된 “SNL 코리아”의 “위켄드 업데이트” 코너에서, 진행자 안영미와 최일구는 “지난주 방송된 ‘제3병원’ 코너와 관련해 사과의 말씀을 전한다”고 밝혔다.

이들의 공식사과는 18일 방송된 “제 3병원”에서 홍석천은 신동엽의 주치의로 등장해 환자에게 “이름이 뭐냐,” “핸드폰 번호가 어떻게 되냐” 등의 대사를 하며 남자 간호사들끼리도 부적절한 농담을 주고 받는 콩트에 관련해서였다.

18일분 방송이 나가자 간호사협회는 간호사의 직업이 자극적으로 묘사된 것에 불쾌함을 드러냈으며 직업에 대한 오해를 불러일으킬 수 있다고 지적했다.

안영미는 “간호사분들의 심기를 불편하게 해 드릴 수 있다는 점을 미처 인지하지 못했다”며 “마음 상하셨을 간호사 여러분과 주변 분들에게 사과 말씀드린다”고 전했다.

간호사협회 측의 불만에 대해 즉시 공식 사과를 건낸 SNL측에 관하여 누리꾼들은 “그래도 SNL식의 유머가 좋아요,” 혹은 “개그는 개그일 뿐”등 화끈한 SNL방식에 대한 호의적인 반응을 보였다.

SNL Korea regrets controversial skit on Korean nurses

“SNL Korea,” a weekly comedy show on a cable network, apologized to the Korean Nurses Association on Saturday regarding one of its segments called “The Third Hospital” aired a week earlier.

“We feel sorry for what was aired last week,” said Ahn Young-mi and Choi Yil-gu, the two hosts of the show. 

“There were complaints from the Korean Nurses Association about the way we portrayed nurses in Korea,” added Choi. Ahn also apologized to “all of those who might have been offended by the show.”

The controversial segment featured Hong Suk-chun playing a bad doctor who makes filthy comments to his patient played by Shin Dong-yub. Hong came out of the closet in 2000 and is regarded as one of the most well-known homosexual actors in South Korea.

In the segment, Hong’s character made sexual jokes to the male nurses regarding the patient.

The Korean Nurses Association complained that such a depiction might generate misunderstanding about hard-working Korean nurses.
