Korea ranks 8th in business environment index

Korea has the world’s eighth favorable business environment, a survey by Grant Thornton International, a global professional services network, showed.


In the Global Dynamism Index which evaluates the business environment of 50 major nations, Korea recorded 64.9 of 100 points in the overall assessment which includes the business operating environment, economics and growth, science and technology, labor and human capital, and the financing environment.


In particular, Korea topped the science and technology field among Asian countries and received an impressive score in the labor and human capital sector.


In regards to other economic powerhouses, the U.S. ranked 10th, China ranked 20th and Japan sat at 26th.
