The life of a married couple who have lost interest in each other will be examined in "LTNS," Tving's new original series, offering a no-holds-barred depiction of the realities of couples today, promised actors Ahn Jae-hong and Lee So-young, also known as Esom, during a press conference in Seoul on Monday.

"LTNS," short for "Long Time No Sex," is a 6-part drama series that uses black comedy to tell the story of Woo-jin (played by Esom) and Samuel (played by Ahn Jae-hong) -- a sexless, married couple who chase after unfaithful couples to make money.

Director Lim Dae-hyung, who previously directed romance drama "Moonlit Winter" (2019) and director Jeon Go-woon, who directed the 2018 comedy drama film "Microhabitat," joined hands to produce the new series.

"I wanted to incorporate the stimulation and satire needed today (into the series)," said Jeon.

"I made an effort to faithfully adhere to the genre of black comedy, making sure the drama series is entertaining and meaningful," she said.

"While the themes of infidelity and sex may seem provocative, there is a different story that I want to tell. Whether it's about marital relationships, professions or dreams, (I wanted to convey through the drama series that) we have all had passionate moments in the past," she said, adding, "I wanted to paint a portrait of modern individuals who have lost that spark (in this work)."

Ahn said he took on the role of Samuel after becoming captivated by the series' unique plot.

"After reading the script, I realized that (this drama series) bore no resemblance to any other work I have ever seen. It was a completely new story, and I was strongly attracted to the drama series for its original and innovative story development," said Ahn.

"As the series progresses and reaches the sixth (last) episode, the story veers off the conventional storyline and will leave viewers wondering how far it will go," he added.

The first and second episodes of "LTNS" will stream on Tving on Friday.
