Air France is recently ramping up efforts to elevate its in-flight services overall, ranging from cabin amenities to exquisite meals.

As part of the efforts, the airline puts considerable resources into upgrading its business-class experience.

Its in-flight meals are the ultimate expression of French culinary tradition. For the first time in its history, the airline has recently named a young chef in his 30s.

The 33-year-old Thibaut Ruggeri promises exceptional dishes that best use seasonal food items combining modernity and aestheticism. He is also the winner of the Bocuse d’Or 2013, the prestigious biennial world chef championship.

Adding flavor to the meals are quality wines selected by world-class sommelier Olivier Poussier.

Air France also boasts its longer, wider and more spacious “full sleep” seats, with its architecture completely redesigned to maximize comfort.

The seats, weighing 5 kilograms less than the previous ones, also help to reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.

“Air France will continue to surprise and delight customers, reinforcing its role as an ambassador for French gastronomy and quality living,” said an official.

The official added that the airline was preparing to unveil a new business class service next year.
