월드스타 싸이의 글로벌 히트 곡 '강남스타일' 뮤직비디오가 유튜브 사상 최초로 '20억 뷰'를 돌파했다.
2012년 7월 15일 공개된 '강남스타일' 뮤직비디오는 31일 낮 12시30분 조회수 20억2천136건을 기록했다. 지난 2월 19억 건을 돌파한 지 3개월여 만에 다시 '1억 뷰 '를 추가해 공개 1년 10개월 만에 대기록을 수립했다.
앞서 이 뮤직비디오는 2005년 유튜브 창사 이래 처음으로 2012년 12월 '10억 뷰 '를 돌파하며 최단 기간, 최다 조회수 기록을 세웠다. 이어 1년 5개월 만에 다시 '10억 뷰'를 추가하는 빠른 조회수 증가를 보였다.
싸이는 미국 방송에서 신곡 '행오버'(HANGOVER)를 처음 공개한다. 31일 소속사 YG엔터테인먼트에 따르면 싸이는 이날 오후 7시(미국 동부시간 기준) 미국 심야 토크쇼 '지미 키멜 라이브: 게임 나이트'(Jimmy Kimmel Live: Game Night)에 세계적인 힙합 뮤지션 스눕독과 함께 출연해 신곡 '행오버'의 뮤직비디오를 공개할 예정이다.
'지미 키멜 라이브'는 6월 5일부터 미국프로농구(NBA) 파이널 경기가 있는 날마다 '게임 나이트'란 특집으로 꾸며진다. '게임 나이트'는 시청자 수가 평소 2배 이상 높은 프라임 타임 쇼다.
