Foreign student footballers will fight it out at a tournament in Eunpyeong District, Seoul on June 6.

Organized by the Korea International Students Support Association, eight teams will play for a top prize of 500,000 won ($480). The second prize is 300,000 won and individual awards of 100,000 won will be given for sportsmanship and player of the tournament.

There will also be a cheerleading contest alongside the teams with prizes of 300,000 won, 200,000 won and 100,000 won.

The tournament will accept seven team applications and form one team from individual applications. Priority will be given to teams with a cheerleading team and that have female players. Organizers say they will choose individual players from as many countries and universities as possible, prioritizing women.

It costs 5,000 won to enter the tournament, which will be donated to a charity for underprivileged children in Korea.
