Han Sung Motor, an official local dealer of Mercedes-Benz in Korea, said it had sold artistic goods at its booth at the 2019 Seoul Design Festival to help children in need.

The five-day annual event that kicked off on Dec. 4 involved rising artists and young designers as well as collaborative projects between art groups.

Han Sung Motor participated by arranging a collaboration project between its Dream Gream scholarship students and local design studio Maeum.
Dream Gream is a scholarship program by Han Sung Motors to support students with artistic talents.

The company’s booth was installed under the concept “Together,” meaning that Han Sung Motor’ Dream Gream scholarship students have made growth by working with professional artists.

Some of the artistic goods sold at booth included stationery such as notebooks, postcards and masking tape, which the students had designed.
All profits from the products will be donated to a children’s charity foundation and children’s hospital, the company said.

“We are going to continuously apply students’ ideas for creating artistic goods and help them participate in various arts fairs,” said Han Sung Motor CEO Ulf Ausprung.

Dream Gream scholarship students have been participating in art fairs since 2017, including the country’s largest art market Korea International Art Fair, Craft Trend Fair and Seoul Living Design Fair.

“We also have one more event left with Dream Gream scholarship students before the year-end. We would like to congratulate all students and encourage them for their continued, active artistic activities,” said Ausprung.
