Police continue search for missing boy

Police said they are continuing the search for an 11-year-old boy named Ryu Jeong-min, following the discovery of the bodies of his sister and mother in Daegu.

The boy was last seen together with his mother on Sept. 15.

The two took a taxi to Daegu Bukbu bus station where they made a transfer.

Daegu Suseong Police on Monday deployed helicopters and sonar detectors around the Nakdong River area where the boy’s 52-year-old mother was found dead.

According to police findings, the deceased had shown signs of depression prior to her disappearance.

The woman’s daughter, 26, was found dead in their house’s verandah cabinet. Her body was covered with blankets and plastic bags.

Police have yet to disclose the cause of death of the sister.
