has added a new customer for its organic light-emitting diode display -- German-based TV manufacturer Metz TV.
Metz -- owned by Chinese TV maker Skyworth -- will reportedly become LG’s 10th client for OLED panels.
The German firm recently said that it would roll out an ultra-high definition OLED TV in September 2016, supporting high-dynamic-range -- a video solution for improving brightness and contrast levels.

An OLED display consists of self-illuminating organic compounds, while a QD display is made up of inorganic semiconductor nanoparticles.
First mass-produced in 2013, the global OLED TV market is expected to see its sales grow from 4,400 units in 2013 to 5.8 million units in 2020, according to market research firm IHS.
