7인조 아이돌 그룹 블락비가 4일 소속사 인 ㈜스타덤을 상대로 전속계약 효력정지 가처분 신청을 서울중앙지법에 냈다.
법조계에 따르면 블락비 측은 "더 이상 소속사를 믿고 연예활동을 할 수 없는 상황이어서 전속계약 해지를 통보했다. 의무위반을 이유로 한 해지 통지이기 때문에 전속계약은 효력이 없어졌다"고 주장했다.
블락비 측은 본안 판결 전까지 `소속사가 신청인 측 의사에 반해 연예활동에 관 한 계약을 제3자와 체결해서는 안 되고, 신청인과 제3자의 관계에 이의를 제기하는 등 연예활동을 방해해서도 안 된다'고 주장한 것으로 알려졌다.
블락비 측은 "소속사가 적절한 교육 기회와 장소를 제공하지 않았고, 활동을 개 시한 2011년 4월부터 1년 가까이 수입을 한 번도 정산하지 않았다"며 심지어 소속사 대표는 미성년자인 가수 부모들한테 총 7천만 원을 받아 챙긴 후 잠적했다고 강조했다.
블락비 측은 "적절한 교육 기회와 장소를 제공받지 못했을뿐더러 식비와 차비를 직접 부담하고, 외국에 나가 공연이나 인터뷰를 할 때도 매니저 등의 도움을 받지 못했다"고 주장했다.
이에 대해 스타덤은 "블락비에 대한 수익금을 모두 정산했다"고 반박했다.
스타덤은 이날 오후 보도자료를 내 "전속 계약에는 수익이 발생할 경우 매월 25 일 정산을 하기로 되어 있었으나 (블락비가) 2011년 4월 데뷔 후 같은 해 10월까지 6개월간 단 한 건의 수익도 발생하지 않아 매월 정산할 수 없었던 것"이라고 주장했다.
소속사 대표가 멤버 부모들에게 금품을 받아 챙긴 뒤 잠적했다는 주장에 대해서 는 "매니저로 고용한 사람이 대표이사 자격을 도용해 저지른 일로, 회사에서는 이를 뒤늦게 알았다"면서 "이를 사건화 할 경우 블락비에게 피해가 갈 수도 있어 법적 절 차 진행을 보류한 것"이라고 밝혔다.
그러면서 "블락비와 오해를 풀고 사태를 원만하게 해결할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다"고 덧붙였다.

Block B sues agency for lack of payment

Seven-member rookie hip-hop group Block B has filed a lawsuit against their talent agency for failure to pay the members in accordance with their contract. The suit, filed with the Seoul District Court, requests that their exclusive contract with Stardom Agency be nullified.
The lawsuit states that the group’s initial contract promised that on top of the agency providing training and facilities, the singers be paid on the 25th of every month. Block B claims that the members did not receive any such payments from their agency for about a year starting April 2011.
In a press release, Stardom Entertainment claimed that the reason the members were not paid during that time was because they did not earn any profits.
“They were paid in full,” the press statement stated. “The exclusive contract states that profits would be distributed every month should they occur. There were no profits, therefore we couldn’t make any payments.”
The members of Block B also claim that an ex-employer of the agency who claimed to be the CEO had falsely collected 70 million won from the boys’ parents for promotion and production costs before leaving the company with the money.
