The Asia News Network, an alliance of English daily newspapers published in Asian cities, has redesigned its website, offering a fresh look and feel with more content on the region.

Born in March 1999, ANN is a hub for exchanging editorial content with the goal of improving the coverage of Asian affairs by Asian media.

The redesigned website offers improved access and enhanced navigation to readers to help them find the top stories of the day from ANN’s 22 member papers.

ANN’s website redesign also gives prominence to its special sections, which focus on timely issues such as the territorial disputes in Asia, bilateral agreements and diplomatic visits.

“The revamp is in keeping with technological developments as well as making the site friendlier for our readers not only across the region, but around the world. The new site is easy to navigate and very straightforward” said Pana Janviroj, the executive director of ANN.

The new look highlights the top stories of the day, in-depth reports, striking photographs and the latest video from newsrooms. It also provides opportunities to share stories through social media such as Facebook and Twitter.

ANN is taking another step to embrace the digital era with a reworking of its bi-weekly magazine, AsiaNews, as it prepares to go full digital in April.

As a member of the network, The Korea Herald has taken part in reflecting and distributing a Korean perspective on domestic and international affairs throughout the years.

“The Korea Herald is one of the most active members of ANN and we are grateful for the support and assistance that its team continues to give us. Stories from the Korea Herald are among the most popular and most viewed articles on the site, especially those relating to K-pop, lifestyle and Korean business” Janviroj said.
