Humans may not be able to duplicate the feat, but throw in a couple more days, and they just might manage to raise a building.
Chinese builders have built a three-story building from scratch in a little more than nine days, BBC reported Monday.
The pioneering techniques of the Broad Sustainable Building requires workers merely to put together prefabricated modules.
“Once all the materials are on site, all we have to do is attach them,” said Deng Yichu from BSB said. He said more than 90 percent of the work is done in factory, which is to manufacture the giant building blocks.
BSB boasts that the construction would have taken merely 24 hours if it were not for delivery problems, heavy rain and other delays.
Last year, the company erected a 30-story-building in just 15 days.
BSB has more ambitious plans in the future. For one, it plans to build a 220-story skyscraper in just four months.

중국에서 한 건설회사가 선보인 초고속 건설이 화제가 되고 있다.
중국의 건설회사인 BSB(Broad Sustainable Building)은 후난성에 3층 건물을 불과 9일만에 지었다고 영국 BBC 방송 등이 14일(현지시간) 보도했다.
건설자들은 불과 3일만에 건물의 지붕, 유리벽과 바닥을 놓기 시작했고, 5일 후에는 외벽공사에 들어갔다고 한다. BSB의 주장에 따르면 궂은 날씨, 배달 지연 등의 문제만 아니었으면 모든 공사가 24시간 안에 끝날 수도 있었다고 한다.
빠른 건설의 비법은 모듈 (건축물의 설계나 조립시에 적용하는 기준이 되는 치수)에 있다.
BSB는 건물의 주된 구성 요소인 모듈을 미리 공장에서 제작해놓고, 현장에서는 이를 조립만 하는 식으로 시간을 절약했다.
BSB의 덩 이추씨는 “재료들이 공사현장에 옮겨진 다음에는 그냥 조립만 하면 됩니다”라고 설명했다. 그는 총 노동의 90%이상을 차지하는 모듈제작 과정이 사전에 공장에서 이뤄진다고 덧붙였다.
BSB가 시행한 초고속 공사는 이번이 처음이 아니다. 이 건설회사는 작년에도 30층 건물을 불과 15일만에 완성한 바 있다.
BSB는 앞으로 220층 건물을 4달만에 지으려는 계획을 갖고 있다고 밝혔다.
